I am contacting you as a member of ARAT – Romanian Association of Transactional Analysis. Currently we are preparing the Conference: To be or not to be… in contact. Relationship with self and others which will be held from 23th to 25th of October 2020. It is a special event because this year we are going to celebrate 20 years of our Association in Romania!

Due to the ongoing pandemic situation the Preconference and Conference are going to be online. Because of that we would like to invite you to our event and also ask you to share the information about the Conference within your community.

The Conference itself will be held in Romanian however the Preconference event will be only in English. We have invited two special guests who are going to share with us their knowledge on 23.10.2020:

To be or not to be in contact? Engaging in schizoid compromise

Short description: In this workshop we will examine descriptions of the schizoid’s experience and personality, their need and fear of contact, their tendency to withdraw to protect themselves, and the compromises they make in life. We will also examine the therapeutic implications of working with it.

Trust and democratic leadership in organizations

Short description: The purpose of the workshop is to develop trust and democratic leadership in your organization.

Objectives:
· Understand the difference between autocratic and democratic leadership
· Understand the steps to maintain democratic leadership in the organizations
· Learn about some tools to build trust

Årets höstmöte sprudlade av aktivitet och energi! Trots grått väder samlades en intresserad skara.

Thomas Ohlsson och Roland Johnsson gästade oss och berättade generöst om sina erfarenheter av forskning. Båda har skrivit en avhandling och doktorerat om sitt arbete inom TA. Thomas inledde med att berätta om sin avhandling om sitt arbete inom missbruksvården. Roland tog sedan vid och redogjorde bl.a. för sin avhandling som handlade om TA´s effektivitet i psykoterapi.

Efter en god lunch fortsatte Thomas och berättade om hur hans elever i Kina arbetar med forskning inom ramen för sin utbildning. Oerhört inspirerande, och vi blev alla sugna på att starta ett eget forskningsprojekt.

Slutligen delade Roland med sig av de skattningsinstrument han använder i arbetet med individer eller grupper. Ett instrument som är enkelt att använda och som kan användas, inte bara till utvärdering av det egna arbetet, utan också som ett forskningsunderlag.

Efter denna fullspäckade och intressanta dag var vi alla motiverade att utforska hur vi framöver kan ha ett forskningsinslag i vårt arbete.
